Go Behind The Scenes Of DEF LEPPARD And MÖTLEY CRÜE's Press Conference Announcing 'The Stadium Tour'
December 9, 2019DEF LEPPARD has uploaded a three-and-a-half-minute video featuring behind-the-scenes footage from the December 4 press conference at SiriusXM's Hollywood studios announcing the upcoming "The Stadium Tour".
"The Stadium Tour" will feature DEF LEPPARD alongside MÖTLEY CRÜE, POISON and JOAN JETT & THE BLACKHEARTS. The 22-date North American trek kicks off July 7 at Miami's Hard Rock Stadium and winds down on September 5 at Los Angeles's SoFi Stadium. Tickets go on sale on December 13 at 10:00 a.m.
The trek marks CRÜE's first live dates since wrapping its 2014/2015 farewell tour. The band toured with POISON back in 2011 and DEF LEPPARD teamed up with POISON for a string of road dates in 2017 — but the upcoming jaunt marks the first time all four acts have hit the road together for an extended tour.
CRÜE fans who shelled out for the band's 2014/2015 "farewell" tour were led to believe that the group would never return after playing its final show on December 2015 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The band touted the signing of a pre-tour "cessation of touring" agreement as cementing the fact it truly was the end of CRÜE's life on the road.
DEF LEPPARD's second Las Vegas residency took place this past summer. The band took over Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino for 12 nights between August 14 and September 7.
The British rockers played their first Las Vegas residency six years ago at the Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel.
DEF LEPPARD's latest greatest-hits collection, titled "The Story So Far - The Best Of", was released in November 2018.
